This spring Babble opens @ Hove Beach Park as part of the exciting new seafront development led by Brighton & Hove council. The venue’s keys have now been handed over to Babble’s team on a long-term lease to offer a sun-up to sun-down hospitality experience at the heart of the community. What follows now will be fit-out works on an original café, bar and kitchen concept centred around beautiful sea views, connected via east, west and south exterior terraces. Whatever the weather, everyone will be most welcome to enjoy this new venue on the beach developed with a keen focus on quality, generosity and personality.

Babble will operate an all-day, high-quality food offering designed alongside an extensive and varied drinks menu. Fresh pastries in the morning paired with top quality coffee, a first-class English breakfast and dippy eggs served with chef’s special soldiers. Healthy options full of protein for users of the new sports facilities plus fresh juices and shakes for takeout to anyone wanting to be good to themselves.

Expect seaside classics such as seafood Marie Rose, Bison Beer battered fish and chips, steamed mussels in SillyMoo cider and freshly shucked oysters washed down with a glass of Ditchling’s own Everflyht. Pizza for the kids and burgers for the fussy teenager; family lunch is truly covered. Daily specials will change with the seasons and see meat, fish and veggie handmade tacos on offer throughout the year.

Come warmer (and drier) days the outside BBQ will be fired up with whole joints of meat from local heroes Barfields butchers and grilled veggies from Brighton’s Shrub Provisions. Served simply with charred breads and the kitchen’s sauces and ferments. The perfect picnic to take to the beach or enjoy overlooking the promenade for some people-watching.
